Who we are

UK Helicopter Landing Sites is run by Mark Zaiger, an individual in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of your personal data. Contact: hello@helicopterlandingsites.com.

What we collect and why

• Free account: your name, email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash), your role and, if you choose, a place you want to land. We use it to give you access, to answer you, and to see who uses the guide. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the service, and your agreement to the terms.
• Updates: only if you tick the optional box. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
• Landing-site registrations: the details you submit about a venue and a contact person, so we can review and publish the listing. Lawful basis: legitimate interest, and your consent to publish.

Cookies and other services

We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Maps load imagery from Esri, and weather loads from Open-Meteo: your device contacts those services directly, so they receive your IP address.

Who sees your data

Only the site owner and our hosting provider (WebHostUK, in the UK). We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account details until you delete your account or ask us to. Registrations until the listing is removed or you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or erase your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. You can delete your own account from the account page, or email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
